Bar carts are one of my favorite pieces because you can use them anywhere. You don’t need to use them as a bar, either. I actually prefer to use them instead of an end table, like in my living room now:

If you’re looking to buy one, I don’t think you have to spend a lot. The rooms above are all featuring furniture from Ballard Designs, but they are generally way overpriced for mediocre quality. You really don’t need to spend that much. I much more highly recommend these at Target and Amazon. A few of these are into the hundreds, but most are around $150, and are prettier, sturdier, and more affordable than most end tables. Click any to view:
