40 Favorite things – Design Matters

I haven’t done a gift guide in years, and this isn’t really one, but it is a few things I want/need/have bought that I thought you might like. But first, this is my tree (in progress). I love it and wanted to share:

Here is a huge trick I just learned. You guys probably already know this, but if you decorate with the lights off it’s SO much easier to space things properly. Here it is with the lights off:

Ok, onto the gifts. I got this for my daughter because she loves her ponytail! It’s a hat with a hole for the pony. It looks like it comes with fake hair from this photo, but it doesn’t!

I got this for both kids because they text a lot at night in bed (I know, it’s a battle I can’t win). It’s a basic magnifier that I think they’ll like:

These are SO cool. I use them all the time and got some for Ellie because she’s suddenly into nails and spending all her money on manicures. They are real nail polish strips that you press on and file to fit. They look and last like gel manicures. Seriously, they are awesome:
